Steps for Registering Oracle Reports in Oracle Apps
1. Develop report on local pc as per user
requirements.
2. Transfer the report(XXJSCUSTREP.rdf) file to CUSTOM
TOP (XXJS)
Ex: /u01/oracle/VIS/appl/XXJS/12.0.0/reports/US/ XXJSCUSTREP.rdf
3. Create “Executable” for the report (XXJSCUSTREP.rdf)
Navigation: System Administrator or Application Development > Concurrent
> Executable
Executable: XXJSCUSTREP
Short Name: XXJSCUSTREP
Application: XXJS Custom Application
Description: My Custom Test Report
Executable Method: Oracle Reports
Executable File Name: XXJSCUSTREP (This is your actual report name without
putting .rdf)
4. Create “Concurrent Program” and attach this
executable to this concurrent program and define parameters if required
Navigation: System Administrator or Application Development > Concurrent
> Program
Program:
My Custom Test Report
Short Name: XXJSCUSTREP
Application: XXJS Custom Application
Description: My Custom Test Report
Executable Name: XXJSCUSTREP
Executable Method: Oracle Reports
5. (Optional
) Create “Responsibility” if not already created
Navigation: System Administrator > Security > Responsibility
> Define
6. (Optional ) Create “User” and attach Responsibility to user if not already created
Navigation: System Administrator > Security > User >
Define
7. Create “Request Group” or Attach Concurrent
Program to existing Request Group
Navigation: System Administrator > Security > Responsibility
> Request
Search Request Group and Add newly created concurrent program
on under Name
8. Login to Oracle Apps by your user
Navigation: XXJS Custom Application > View > Request
Submit New Request where search you newly
created Concurrent Program
